What is the difference between Mosey tights and Lamington tights?

Lamington tights have always been manufactured in New Zealand and remain an important part of our brand story.

When our long standing manufacturing partner closed, there were no remaining facilities in Australasia able to produce tights to the standard we require. To continue offering this product, we made the considered decision to move production and clearly separate this range under our Mosey label.

We have since partnered with a carefully selected factory in China that aligns with our values and quality expectations. Mosey tights continue to be made using merino wool, with the same focus on comfort, fit and durability.

This transition has also allowed us to introduce a beautiful organic cotton option into the range.

We have worked closely with this factory to ensure the same feel and finish you know from our brand, so you can shop with confidence.

Mosey products will also gain you points under the Love Lamington Rewards System.

How should I choose my size?

We recommend sizing up rather than down. This helps reduce strain on the fabric and gusset, improving comfort and longevity.

Are merino tights delicate?

Yes. While designed for everyday wear, merino tights are still a delicate garment. Take care to avoid contact with sharp nails, jewellery, or rough surfaces that may snag the fabric.

What should I expect in terms of wear and tear?

Over more than 20 years, we have built a strong and trusted reputation for quality, and we stand behind the products we make.

Our socks and tights are made using a merino wool blend, chosen for its softness, comfort and breathability. As a natural fibre, merino is not as hard wearing as fully synthetic materials, and over time some signs of wear are expected, particularly with regular use.

The lifespan of tights can vary depending on how often they are worn, how they are cared for, and the conditions they are used in. Factors such as friction and general wear are outside of our control and will naturally impact longevity. Areas such as the gusset will wear faster over time.

We recommend gentle washing and taking care to avoid rough surfaces or snagging to help extend the life of your tights.

While we are always happy to review any concerns, tights that have been worn regularly over an extended period of time, would generally be considered to have reached a normal lifespan rather than a fault and would not be eligible for a replacement.

How should I put them on?

Gently gather the tights and pull them on gradually. Ensure they are sitting correctly and not twisted, as twisting can place pressure on the fabric and weaken the gusset over time.

Why is twisting an issue?

If tights are twisted when worn, it creates uneven tension, especially through the gusset, which can lead to premature wear or holes.

How should I wash them?

Wash in a delicates bag on a gentle, cold cycle. This protects the fabric from friction and helps maintain shape and softness.

Can I tumble dry them?

No. We recommend air drying flat. Heat can damage the fibres and reduce the lifespan of the tights.

How often should I wash them?

Merino is naturally odour resistant, so you can wash less frequently. Airing between wears is often enough.

How do I prevent holes or damage?

• Size up for less strain
• Avoid sharp nails, rings, and rough footwear interiors
• Ensure correct fit and not twisted or overstretched
• Wash in a delicates bag
• Rotate between pairs rather than wearing one pair continuously

Are these suitable for everyday wear?

Yes, with care. They are designed to be worn often, but like all hosiery, they benefit from gentle handling.
